Spanish Theatre

Cosme Lotti (?,1643), one of Parigi's students imported from Florence in 1626, created a floating stage to perform a ship reck and have a "coach" pulled by dolphins. The whole was lit by 3,000 lanterns. The king and retinue watched from gondolas on the edge of the performing areas.
